Santa Cruz Music Festival Announces first part of 2015 Lineup

13+ Venues  in Downtown Santa Cruz

October 10th, 2015  

This October,  Santa Cruz Music Festival is back for its third year in full force, taking over the historic downtown area, linking together more than 13 downtown Santa Cruz venues for a 13 hour musical marathon. Just like they have for the past two festivals, SCMF has put together a  lineup of internationally known acts as well as hard hitting local Santa Cruz and Bay Area artists, only this year they’ve upped the ante with more than 100 bands and performers distributed over 15 stages bringing nothing but quality music & entertainment. Even with this year’s hefty roster, the minds behind the festival are committed to organization, safety, and world-class production so that everyone who comes downtown will experience Santa Cruz like they never have before.

 

Headliners:

RJD2 – A true pioneer of electronic music, and one of the main artists who helped bring ‘EDM’ to the mainstream in America.  With hits that have been stuck in people’s heads for more than a decade, this legendary producer created an iconic sound that will never be replaced.

PROF– As insanely talented as he as abrasive, this unique & witty rapper from Minneapolis, MN just recently signed to underground hip-hop’s gold standard- Rhymesayers. Known for tearing up the east coast with his hilarious and charged up live shows, this act promises a wild ride.

Delhi 2 Dublin – They mash it up! This cult-classic is an insanely fun and well rounded fusion of celtic and punjabi style. They are a full live band from Vancouver that has been shocking crowds and gaining life-long fans at festivals and venues all across the world.

Lafa Taylor – This up and coming artist only recently made his way into the mainstream, but he’s hit the ground running and hasn’t looked back, recently collaborating  with the likes of Bassnectar, Beats Antique, and The Polish Ambassador.

Mikey Lyon and Lee Reynolds – The talented and fearless leaders of Desert Hearts are known for incredible sets that take you on sonic adventures filled with House, Techno, & Love.

Pep Love – This legendary Emcee is one of the leading voices in underground hip-hop, and is part of the one of the most infamous groups in underground Hip-Hop, Hieroglyphics

Eliquate – This local live hip-hop powerhouse has been a staple of the Santa Cruz music community for the past 4 years. Their live show is full of energy, sweat and body moving, prepare to participate in the action.
