Daytime Nightlife is a youthful, energetic rock band hailing from San Francisco. The band consists of brothers, Mark and Gary Malec, who started their journey into music many years ago in the basement of their south jersey home. Keyboardist, Arjun Iyengar fell into the mix by chance when he and Mark met through mutual friends. Drummer, Tucci (not even his mom calls him Matt), sent the band some YouTube videos of his drumming and quickly found out he was a great fit.
Taylor Rae is a singer songwriter from Santa Cruz, California. With an extensive background in musical theatre, a natural gift of melody and growing up singing in the church, it was almost inevitable for her song writing to take off at an early age. She began writing original songs at age 10, and by age 16 already won several competitions and released an album. As she matured as a songwriter her songs became more vocally complex and began taking a turn. After releasing her second album at age 18, she decided to step up her career with a move to Los Angeles, California. While in Los Angeles Taylor attended Musicians Institute to grasp the technical aspects of the talents she already possessed. During her attendance at Musicians Institute she formed a band consisting of drums, bass, double lead guitars, multiple back up singers and her own rhythm guitar playing. Now having a talented band behind her, the songs evolved to their maximum potential, blending southern rock, blues, folk and soul into a beautiful melting pot of organic music. After winning multiple competitions in college, it was decided to record a new EP. With the addition of saxophone and piano/organ, “Gettin’ High to Stay Low” was recorded at Hard Drive Studios in North Hollywood, California and is set for a release date of September 1st.
